＜What is a Kuksa?＞
It is a handmade mug traditionally made by hollowing out a birch burl, passed down for centuries by the Sámi people who lived in Lapland, northern Finland. The birch burl, called "bahka," used as the material, takes 30 years to grow to a sufficient size, and even small burls take about 10-15 years, so the amount that can be harvested is limited. We have recreated this cup, also known as a symbol of happiness, at an affordable price.
