It is finished with a 100% natural oil-based paint (compliant with the Food Sanitation Act) whose main ingredient is linseed oil, so you can use knives etc. on it as there is no coating.
This plate can be used as a cutting board; just cut a small piece of food, arrange it on the table, and serve it on the table.

The edges are slightly raised to prevent sauces and other liquids from spilling.
It is also ideal for meat dishes, cheese, etc. that require knife use.
