■This is a ceramic soba cup made from Oishiwara ware and Tobikanna.
What is Oishiwara ware?
This pottery is fired in Toho Village, located in the central-southern part of Fukuoka Prefecture. In the tranquil mountain area, surrounded by rural scenery, about 50 potters are making pottery. It is a representative example of everyday utensils, and traditional techniques have been passed down for about 350 years. They have pursued the concept of "beauty of utility" that is useful in daily life.
What is a flying plane?
The design is a series of "ten ten ten..." shapes that could be described as slightly geometric. The "Tobi Kanna" is a rotating piece. Although the "Tobi Kanna" has a simple pattern, it has an exquisite balance and atmosphere that does not make the food look lonely.
