■ This is a ceramic mustard pot made of yakishime ware.
Its subdued, deep color and dignified appearance blend in well with any dining table.

・It can be used in combination with other items from the same series, such as the soy sauce pitcher or toothpick holder.

 

*Yakishime is a type of pottery fired for a long period at high temperatures of 1,000 to 1,300°C or higher, without applying glaze. The texture of the clay and the traces of the flame are directly visible, making it hard and durable. Its charm lies in the way it develops a deeper character (matures) with continued use.
