サイズ: Approx. φ8×H7cm
■Koishiwara ware soba choko (buckwheat noodle cup) made of pottery with the tobikanna technique.
What is Koishiwara ware?
It is pottery fired in "Toho Village" located in the south-central part of Fukuoka Prefecture. In a peaceful mountain area with vast rural landscapes, about 50 kilns produce pottery. It is a representative example of daily-use miscellaneous ceramics, and its traditional techniques have been passed down for approximately 350 years. It has pursued the concept known as "beauty in utility," which serves a purpose in daily life.
What is tobikanna?
A design of repeating "dots, dots, dots..." that can be described as somewhat geometric. The swirling pattern you see is "tobikanna." "Tobikanna" has an exquisite balance and atmosphere that, despite being a simple pattern, prevents dishes from looking plain.
